Brief Description of Subject: fter His resurrection, Christ appeared several times to groups of His apostles. Once this happened when Thomas was not present. When told of the experience Thomas exclaimed that he could not believe unless he would see Christ for himself and touch the very wound prints. Christ did not condemn this honest doubt but instead, appeared again holding out His hands to show the proofs. Thomas made a confession of his faith “My Lord, and my God!” Then Christ said that those in the future ages who could believe without seeing would be more blessed. Thomas’ symbols are a spear, instrument of his martyrdom, and a carpenter’s square. He build a church in India with his own hands and is thus considered the patron saint of builders. The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
