Subject/Title of Window: Creation

Brief Description of Subject: This window is themed “New Beginnings.” Quatrefoil (clockwise from top): Numberless Stars in Heaven (Abraham)-Genesis 22:15ff; Ram Caught in Bramble Bush (Isaac)-Genesis 22:1ff; Twelve Branch Candlestick (Jacob)-Genesis 35:23ff and Genesis 49:28ff; Coat of Many Colors (Joseph)-Genesis 37:3ff. Below the quatrefoil are the moon and stars and the sunburst. Covering the center of all four windows is the Garden of Eden from the Creation Story (Genesis 1 and 2). The hand of God is over all Creation - Adam and Eve, animals, birds, fish, and plant life. The angels of the Lord herald and bear witness to the Good News. Beneath the Creation Story are left to right: Solomon’s Temple-II Chronicles 2 and II Chronicles 6:10; Star of David over Crown-I Chronicles 11 and I Chronicles 17; David’s Harp-I Samuel 16:14ff; Saul, horn anointing with oil over toppled crown-I Samuel 10 and I Chronicles 10.
