Subject/Title of Window: Sacraments
Brief Description of Subject: Two rectangular windows on either side of the altar. Right window represents Holy Baptism. The Holy Spirit in form of Dove descends upon a seashell, from which water is pouring, while butterflies [symbols of the Resurrection] flutter around. Left window represents Holy Communion. A communion wafer is surrounded by a cross and halo and hovers above a chalice, while grapevines and stalks of wheat grow up around them. Windows were made by Jim Hopfensperger, of Midland, MI.
Baptism and Communion are the only two of the seven sacraments that Methodists believe in.
