Subject/Title of Window: Upper Sanctuary - Isaiah

Brief Description of Subject: Rectangular window depicting a Seraph cleansing the lips of Isaiah with a burning coal. The saw with which, according to tradition, Isaiah was martyred by King Manasseh is at right. At left can be seen Jesus trampling a winepress alone [Isaiah 63:1-3]. Window reads "As Moses lifted up the serpent". Made by Marguerite Gaudin, of Willet Studios, Philadelphia, PA. Protected on exterior by glass since 1954 [sic. Does this mean a pre-existing window?]. Glass installed by Edward V. Monahan, the original contractor.
