Subject/Title of Window: Jesse
Brief Description of Subject: The subject of this window is Jesse, which was the father of King David. At the bottom of the window is the star of David which is located deep within the roots of the family tree. The sides of the triangle represent the God’s attributes: power, wisdom, majesty, love, mercy. and justice. The tracing of Jesus’ ancestry from the roots of Jesse, through the star of David, through the tree, and through the doves illlustrates that Jesus was both true God and true Man. Just as man was the crown of God’s creation, Jesus was the crown of God’s marvelous plan of salvation for all mankind. The cross and the crown at the top represent the fact that Christ is forever and that man can have no greater lord than his Christ who is the first fruit and the sacred genealogical Tree of Life.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
