Subject/Title of Window: Christ the Great Physician

Brief Description of Subject: This window shows Christ as the Great Physician. Passing from left to right is a great parade of sick, the lame, the halt, the blind, all seeking His help. Christ is shown putting His hands upon them while lifting His eyes up to heaven.

As you look at the narrow center panel recall the words of Jesus: I was hungry and he gave me to eat; I was naked and you clothed me; I was a stranger and you rook me in; I was sick and in prison; and you visited me.

The panel at eh left presents Dr. W .A Passavant Lutehran  pastor, who established the first Luteran Hospital in the United States in Pittsburgh, PA. He was a pioneer in the firld of social welfare.

Near the top center is a small projection of the Neighborhood House. The outlines of St. Luke’s are seen at the lower left.
