Subject/Title of Window: Prophecy of Malachi

Brief Description of Subject: The last window in this series refers to the final prophecy of Malachi who spoke about preparing the way for the Lord. (Malachi Ch. 3) he spoke about the Messiah as the Sun of Justice with its healing rays. We also see the crown of David from which springs the lily, a symbol of the Virgin Mary. We also see the scroll used by Anna and Simon who taught Mar in the temple. The hand of a Rabbi raised in benediction suggests the inverted hears which is a prophetic vision of Mary’s future sorrows.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
