Subject/Title of Window: The Easter Lilly

Brief Description of Subject: The bulb of the lily is buried beneath the earth, and from it grows foliage, flowers, and new bulb. This is a symbol of hope for the Christian as it reminds us of the resurrection. On Easter morning, we decorate our altar with Easter lilies in honor and memory of loved ones, as we celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the hope it brings.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
