Subject/Title of Window: St. Albert the Great

Brief Description of Subject: Doctor of the Church, 1200-1280 The Annunciation St. Albert is standing and is clothed in the Dominican habit. He is holding a retort in his right hand and an ancient compass in his left hand. He was known as a man of letters and a great teacher of science. At the bottom of the window Mary is pictured kneeling before the Angel Gabriel. She is listening to the invitation from God to be the Mother of Jesus. Her response is “Behold the Handmaid of the Lord be it done unto me according to thy word.” (Luke 1:38) The background of the window is yellow. There is an orange border around the entire frame of the window with little blue triangles around the interior edges of the border. There are thirty-two triangles in the edges of the border.
