Subject/Title of Window: Blessed are the Meek

Brief Description of Subject: “Blessed are the Meek for They Shall Inherit the Earth”
The meek are those who show a living and obedient humility. They never grow resentful or bitter; they are like a tamed horse or a good, gentle sheep dog.
The world says, “Look out for yourself- no one else will. Meekness is weak, spineless, insipid” But God says, “Be not weak, but loving, trusting, humble tamed, obedient, usable and strong” Meekness stands aside to let another pass by.
The meek are those among us who possess a righteous anger that saves and heals. Moses was very meek; but he displayed strength and force of character. Jesus was occasionally angry; yet in the face of mockery and harsh treatment of the unjust trial and the crucifixion he said “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”

The earth comes as a reward, a gift a legacy to the meek. God bequeaths the earth to the sons of his own spirit.
There is something some strength within the meek that his enemies cannot touch. this was evident in the Judgement Hall, when Pilate was so afraid; yet Jesus so assured and confident.
The dinosaurs who once terrorized the Earth are gone; but the sheep still graze in the meadows.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
