Subject/Title of Window: St. Maria Goretti

Brief Description of Subject: Window has been re-purposed to chapel at St. Regis in Bloomfield Hills

Background: Maria Goretti (1890 - 1902) died after being stabbed during an attempted rape. On her deathbed she asked that mercy be granted to her attacker. She was considered a saint by many before she was actually canonized.

Window Description: Maria Goretti is costumed as an 11 year old in white dress (purity) with a blue (heaven) belt.

Inscription: There was a donor inscription but not visible on available photo.

This window was refurbished by Thompson Glass Co. LCC, when it was moved to St. Regis.
