Subject/Title of Window: St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr

Brief Description of Subject: Location of window in Chancel indicates his place of honor as one of the Patron Saints of Poland.

Background: St. Stanislaus (1030 - 1070) was the first native born Polish saint. He reluctantly became the bishop of Krakow and is best known as a preacher and for his opposition to unjust government. St. Stanislaus excommunicated King Boleslaw. The King took his revenge by martyring him.

Description of window: St. Stanislaus is costumed as a bishop with his crozier and is giving a blessing. The book in his hand symbolizes his fame as a preacher.

Inscription: There was a donor inscription but not visible on available photo.
