Subject/Title of Window: St. Catherine of Siena

Brief Description of Subject: Was born in Siena, Italy on March 25, 1347 and was the youngest of 23 children. She became a religious when she joined the Dominican Tertiary at the age of sixteen. She is widely known for her writings and is a Doctor of the Church. She is also remembered for her prophecy visions, courage and forthright counsel to popes and world leaders, and for being instrumental in moving the papal seat back to Rome from France. She died in 1380 bearing the stigma which was invisible to all until her death.  The church celebrates her fest day on April 29. The chapel window shows her holding a book called the Dialog with the dome of the Vatican pictured in the background.
