Brief Description of Subject: Subject: Matthias is the apostle that replaced Judas.  Medallion in center contains the attributes of Matthias -- an open book and an ax. The ax over the open book symbolizes his violent death for preaching the scriptures. It is believed he was beheaded with an ax.

The window was donated by Chauncey Rauch in memory of his wife Nella.
