Subject/Title of Window: St. Louis Bertrand

Brief Description of Subject: Confessor, 1526-1581 The Visitation St. Louis Bertrand is standing and is clothed in the Dominican habit. He is pictured holding a gun. The top of the gun bears the resemblance of a crucifix. When a man approached him in an assassination attempt St. Louis Bertrand made the sign of the cross over the gun and immediately it was transformed into a crucifix. The bottom of the window shows Mary visiting her cousin, Elizabeth. The two women bless each other’s pregnancy. “And when Elizabeth heard the gretting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb”... Elizabeth exclaimed...”blessed is the fruit of your womb.” (Luke 1:41-42) The background of the window is light blue. There is a light blue border around the entire frame of the window with little gold triangles around the interior edges of the border. There are thiry-three triangles in the edges of the border.
