Brief Description of Subject: The ship of the church has a good captain at its helm, Jesus Christ. The word Nave used for the central section of a church in which the congregation is seated comes from the Latin word for Ship. Sailing is a major recreation activity for young and old in Bay View. The bulrush or cattail is a lowly thickly clustered common plant growing near water. Because of these characteristics is has become a symbol for the multitude of the faithful who lead a humble life and abide by the teaching of the church.
