Subject/Title of Window: The Carter Window
Brief Description of Subject: The Carter Window pictures St. John the Evangelist, author of the Fourth Gospel and the Book of Revelation. The left lancet shows St. James the Lesser and the right lancet St. Andrew, along with the symbols of their lives and martyrdom. In the upper shields are the Hand of God for the Father, the Lamb depicting the Son, and the Dove for the Holy Spirit. The window was dedicated on December 6, 1955. It was the gift of John A. and Bertha Carter.
