Brief Description of Subject: After the fall of Adam and Eve, man was confronted with the righteous judgement of God as shown in the flood. The rains descend and the flood waters rise, but in this general devastation the ark becomes the ark of salvation for Noah and his family, as well as the ark of salvation for all mankind. The dove with the olive branch expresses God’s mercy and the reestablishment of peace on earth.
