Brief Description of Subject: From the booklet, "First United Methodist Church, Grand Ledge, Michigan. Walking Tour Guide of the Stained Glass Windows," by C. Bernard Johnson (1994).
The next window is for Mrs. Ruth Allen who was a member in 1912. Ruth had been married three times, the first husband was Mr. Porter, the second husband Mr. Crane, and the last husband Mr. Allen, who died in 1895. She was the mother of three children, all passing away in childhood. Ruth was the last surviving member of a family of fifteen children. She lived for the last 15 years at the home of Mrs. Emma Brown. Emma took care of her for the last two and one half years when she was an invalid. Ruth died on October 12, 1918, at the age of 87 years.
