Brief Description of Subject: From the booklet, "First United Methodist Church, Grand Ledge, Michigan. Walking Tour Guide of the Stained Glass Windows," by C. Bernard Johnson (1994).
This window was donated by Rev. C.E. Pollok and his wife Nettie. Rev. Pollok was the minister in Grand Ledge during the time that the cornerstone was laid on June 15, 1911, and the dedication on June 9th, 1912, at an approximated cost of $18,000. The church in 1912 had 212 members. Rev. Pollok in the early 1930s served as the district superintendent for Grand Ledge. His son James Pollok was the minister in Grand Ledge from 1938 to 1941. This is the window that is located directly behind the pulpit and on Sunday mornings in the sun shining through, it is something we enjoy very much.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
