Subject/Title of Window: The Resurrection
Brief Description of Subject: Shows Christ triumphant rising from the dead.
The Rose Window atop the larger window shows the Phoenix rising. This was commonly used in religious symbolism of Christ's Resurrection from the dead.
The Left panel of the main window shows an angel gazing at the risen Christ. In the foreground a Roman Soldier cowers her shading his eyes.
The right panel shows Christ holding a cross topped staff dressed in a white robe with the letters IHS (Jesus Hominum Salvitor) embroidered in gold on the robe. He stands on a cloud above the tomb in which he apparently had been buried. Over his head is seen a white banner with a red cross. In the foreground a second soldier appears on all fours with a shield on his back turning away from Christ.
