Brief Description of Subject: "At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, 'Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?' And calling to him a child he put him in the midst of them, and said, 'Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'

'Whoever receives some such child in my name receives me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea ... It is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.'" Mathew 18

"Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people but Jesus said 'Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.' And he laid his hands on them and went away." Matthew 19

This window is a most sensitive portrayal of this story so precious in all our lives, and the story upon which we base our work here at Starr Commonwealth. Jesus holds a baby lovingly in the curve of his arm. At Jesus' feet kneels a little child, while a youth stands facing our Lord - thus we find all ages of man represented in this window.
