Subject/Title of Window: Dining Room

Brief Description of Subject: Rotunda window with 9 upper and lower panels, ornamental insert in the upper panes only.
1. A servant bringing a bowl of punch.
2. A servant bringing in the boar's head. The shield is purely decorative with no meaning from a Heraldic point of view. It is an eagle's head crowned upon a Bend which carries the shield diagonally through dexter to sinister.
3. A hunter sounding a horn after the boar is killed.
4. A falconer has a falcon on his hand in readiness to let the bird go. It is a companion piece to the stag.
5. A running stag is a decorative hunting panel with no meaning. It was painted for the dining room as being appropriate for that position.
6. A bowman, goes with the stag.
7. A falconer is carrying a falconer perch on which the birds perch.
8. A bowman with a turkey he has just killed. The bow he is carrying is a so-called backed or composite bow. A bow built of several layers of wood, bone or horn. Bows of this type were used by the Tartars and the Turks.
9. A musician with bag pipes.
