Brief Description of Subject: One of the three ruby windows.
Phoenix was a fabulous bird of Egyptian legend. When it became 500 years old it burned itself upon a pyre. From its ashes another Phoenix arose. A symbol of death and resurrection it has been a favorite metaphor in Christian Literature.
