Brief Description of Subject: From brochure "The Stained Glass Windows of Friendship Christian Reformed Church."
Inspired by a picture of the "Rose Window" built in 1883, the design was modified somewhat and new colors were chosen. The outside circle represents the fellowship of believers, joined in their service to God. The white band symbolizes the working of the Holy Spirit in each of our lives. The amber circle represents the power of Christ's love through His church. The center blue star signifies the hope of the resurrection. The pale green in the center of the window symbolizes God's mark on us through Baptism, radiating out to the circle of believers.

Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.  Acts 20:28

A word from the artists...
We consider it a privilege to have been asked to design and build six stained glass windows for Friendship Church's new facility. We thank our families and friends for the support they have shown during the past nine months while we spent many hours researching, sketching, cutting, grinding, leading, and mudding. We thank Maria Orr for her expertise in finalizing our designs and for the glass paintings she so skillfully rendered for each of the figures. Most of all we thank God for the gift of His Son, which was our ultimate inspiration throught this project.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
