Brief Description of Subject: Spanish theme. Two stained glass insets in pale colored "mosaic" style leaded came pattern with more brightly colored border. Steel casing of windows with 9/16" lead came. 10" wide x 24" tall central inset of accordian playing musician facing adjacent window. Figure is wearing medieval style clothing. Near bottom of window is an inset of a stained glass urn, approximately 7" wide and 12" tall. Details are in vitreous paint with some enamel paint. Many variations in glass itself - streaks, bubbles, small waves, etc. are used. Romanticized medieval Spanish theme characteristic of pre-Depression residences of the wealthy class. Interesting choice of accordian musician and Spanish dancer suggests a lighter, more celebratory theme than, say a bull fighting matador or other traditionally iconography. Uncertain meaning of use of classical looking urn.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
