Brief Description of Subject: One in a set of three windows located on the East wall of Nave. Community depicts MSU structures, churches, schools, and government scenes. People of different races voting. In the background the dome of the capitol in Washington, Michigan State Capitol and the modern Civic Center in Lansing. Most windows in the Alumni Memorial Chapel are sets of three on the same general topic with the same donor. This window is grouped with Work (L5a) and Abundance (L5b). The lower position of government in this piece suggests its role of servitude to people and community. Community: Teaching the students to serve the common good. In the background are the Jenison Fieldhouse, Union Building (South Entrance), Band shell. Taking part in community life-Churches,Schools, Playgrounds. People of different races voting.
