Brief Description of Subject: One in a set of three windows located on the East wall of Nave. Diffusion of Knowledge depicts family, a worker, teacher, farmer, the Michigan Capitol, and MSU’s Agricultural Building. Most windows in the Alumni Memorial Chapel are sets of three on the same general topic with the same donor. This window is grouped with Freedom of Mind (L4a) and Leadership (L4c). The torch of enlightenment is, here, central to all. Diffusion of Knowledge: The center design is the emblem of knowledge, a torch with a book and the expression of its diffusion between the family, the worker and the Intellectual, and the farmer. In the background the building of the Michigan State Capitol and the Agricultural Building of the Michigan State University. Designed by Anthony Mako.
