Subject/Title of Window: Resurrection

Brief Description of Subject: The resurrection with its triumphant message of life victorious over death and the powers of darkness is symbolized by the rising sun and Easter lily rising our of the tomb. As the sun is the source of light and life for our natural existence, so is the Risen Christ the assurance of our life in grace and of our eternal life. We know that Our Savior is the “Resurrection and the Life” and that whoever believes in Him shall never die. The Easter lily is likewise a meaningful symbol of the same truth: after having been dormant during the winter it pierces the ground and suddenly appears in its white splendor.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
