Brief Description of Subject: St. Aloysius Gonzaga is the patron saint of young people, especially students. He was a young man of noble family who was engaged as a tutor for the family of the Duke of Mantua when he felt the call to join the Jesuits, the Society of Jesus. Before dying he asked his confessor, St. Robert Bellarmine if he thought it possible for a soul to go straight to heaven without passing through purgatory. This is why he is depicted in the window as being on a cloud accompanied by angels.
