Biography: The Buffalo Stained Glass Works, operated by Ferdinand J. Riester and Godfrey Frohe, created windows for many churches in the late nineteenth century. Burns, George L., 1820 - 1873. He was one of the first glass stainers in Buffalo, getting his start with William G. Miller (Buffalo Stained Glass Works), appearing in the City directories as early as 1844 as a painter, advertised glass staining and enameling as early as 1852.
