Subject/Title of Window: Lit Candle
Brief Description of Subject: This is the first of four aisle windows visible on the Gospel side of the nave. Each window is made up of three lancets with the middle lancet containing a symbol. The Epistle side of the nave contains nearly identical windows. Each window is predominately decorative in nature with blue the featured color --- the traditional color associated with the Virgin Mary.
Pictured in this window is a lit candle. Among many possibilities, it is the light of Christ. This comes from His words in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me, walketh not in darkness, but shall have light."nto glory."
