Subject/Title of Window: Revelation, Window 2
Brief Description of Subject: This is the second in a series of 4 windows with a scene taken from the Book of Revelation and located in the passageway leading into the bell tower.
The scene is dominated by John's vision of the enthroned Christ set forth in the Book of Revelation. At the top of the window is seen "the holy city, new Jerusalem" (Rev. 21:2). Christ (stigmata) with crown and radiating light "like jasper (yellow) and a sardine (red) stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne..." (Rev. 4:2-3). In his lap is the "Book of Life" --- those who have attained eternal life (Rev. 21:27).The pages visible are inscribed with the capital Greek letters Alpha and Omega --- God is the beginning and end of all things (Rev. 21:5-6). Flowing from the throne of the Lamb (Christ) is the river of the "Water of Life" --- the Holy Spirit (Rev. 22:1). Behind Christ (Lamb) is seen the "Bride of the Lamb" --- symbol for the glorified Church (Rev. 21:9).
