Brief Description of Subject: The young Jesus teaching six elders in the temple. They sit at his feet as he reads from the scrolls.

"After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard him were amazed at this understanding and his answers." (Luke 2:46-47)

At the top, Jesus is depicted working with his father, a carpenter.
