Brief Description of Subject: As told in the Book of John (Ch. 20: 26-29), the risen Christ appeared to the apostle St. Thomas, who had doubted reports of his resurrection. According to tradition, St. Thomas was an architect. Two of his attributes, the square and the compass, are shown in the quatrefoils overhead.
