About

Building Notes: The verse at John 5:15, "I am the vine, you are the branches," informs the design of Westminster's sanctuary windows.

The windows were designed by artist Richard Marks and executed and installed by Marks Stained Glass Studio and Gallery in Tecumseh, Michigan, with Ken Thompson serving as shop foreman. About 85% of the glass comes from (then) West Germany; the remainder is from Blenko, a then-prominent stained glass producer in West Virginia.

The symbolism of the window images create an atmosphere of worship, providing food for thought on the tenets of our faith and object lessons for our daily life.

Beginning with the symbol of the Trinity at the apes of the triangles at the front of the sanctuary, the design of the vine and intertwining branches extends downward and then throughout the for horizontal side windows around the space. Incorporated in these windows are nine Christian symbols.
